Tire chains

 

Typical method of mounting tire chains

1.Jack up a car
Park your car at a flat space if possible. Engine off, apply the parking brake, and set wheel chocks before work. Also, it will be convenient to prepare a plate () laid under the jack.
2.Attach tire chains.
Attach chains on tires and fasten the inside clamps first. It is important for inside clamps to fasten tightly (to minor diameter). Then, fasten the outside clamps, stretch chains so that there is no slack, and fit springbands firmly. It is also recommended fixing the end of chains by wire (about 10 cm, preprae several pieces) to avoid the reminder of chains hitting the housing of tires.
